I am not the kind of person who typically keeps a blog. I am an introvert. I enjoy having a couple of close friends, but I'm not much of a socializer. I do enjoy connection though - authentic connection with others.
I am writing this blog to share some things I'm learning as a wife, mom and follower of Christ. I hope you join me and let me know your thoughts!
On a personal level, I am a wife, mom, daughter and friend. I am a stay at home mom and own a web based business I started in February 2010, Delicate Fortress Creations, a shop with purpose store highlighting those who are working their way out of forced slavery, forced prostitution and extreme poverty with a special highlight on children at risk. Delicate Fortress Creations
I started this store in February 2010 after receiving a promotional item from Freeset Bags. I received a free jute tote from Gettington.com when I ordered some things for my kids for Christmas. There was a tag on the bag when I received it talking about human trafficking. I didn't know what jute or human trafficking were, so I got on-line and started googling. I learned about the horrors of human trafficking as well as the hope. There are a lot of products out there that people who are helping or who have escaped from human trafficking make that are well designed, beautiful and absolutely unique! I couldn't find them all in one place though, so I decided to make my own place and DFC was born! If you'd like to check it out, please do here.
Kadee's Korner
This is just for fun for me. I'm a pretty impulsive person and feel like if my head isn't busy it will explode from anxiety sometimes, so I find various "creative outlets" for that energy, if you want to call it that. I'm learning to make different things and posting them at this shop on Etsy. We'll see what happens with that, but I can guarantee there will almost always be something different there because I can't sit still!
